Hair tools. They’re great, but you’ve got to know how to use them. And then there’s all the space they take up…

But what if there was a spray that could take away the pain of tongs, straighteners and airwraps? Enter Heatwave, an imaginary hairspray. This magic formula creates the waves or curls of your dreams depending on how much you spritz it and how long you stay under the sun. And for those in colder climates, a quick 5 minutes under a hairdryer’ll do the trick.

I collaborated with Marta Veludo Studio, who brought the visual identity to life. We opted for a down-to-earth, holistic and vibrant approach that mirrors the carelessness and freedom of summer and being at the beach. I created the concept from scratch and wrote copy for the packaging, posters, and a social post.
