Demel

Demel is widely known as Austria’s most famous café. They’ve served royalty, locals and travellers alike for hundreds of years, tempting them with hand-crafted cakes and great-tasting coffee. Brimming with a rich history that’s largely been unchanged, visiting a Demel café is like stepping into a Viennese time machine. But their website wasn’t reflecting that. It failed to capture the excitement and fairytale flair for which the café is celebrated.

As part of a rebrand, I was asked to help Demel refresh its voice for the 21st century while maintaining its strong heritage. I worked with a talented designer to create an immersive user journey that was much like visiting the cafe itself – full of life, tradition, and wonder.
